Altoid Battery

So not really, but the picture looked cool. Essentially it is for those times you need to enclose a battery in something durable.

Brass Goggles Christmas Gift

I just found the gift I want from anyone out there with a lathe. I've always fancied myself a mad scientist and what mad scientist doesn't want a pair of brass goggles?

Google's Calendar

Those of you who do not know should know that Google has a calendar that is pretty cool. I have used it on and off for months, but for the most part I have not used it much because it would not sync with my pocket PC. After searching the web a lot and playing a lot I finally found a way to make it work using ScheduleWorld using the instructions found here on the engtech blog.

The only caveat I found is that in the ScheduleWorld settings I had to turn off the setting marked 'sync google at the begining of SynchML' or some such thing.

Anyways I think it is cool. You can also share calendars if you have large groups of people trying to coordinate events.

GPS Trackers and phones on sticks

Think geek has a new USB stick that will track GPS coordinates for several months. You just through it in your car, bicycle, kid's backpack, whatever, and look at it when you get a chance. It doesn't transmit, its just for 'check afterwards' kinds of activities, but it would be cool the next time you had an RC car or blimp.

Also, Vonage is selling a keychain you can plug into a computer with broadband and use just like your existing box, but it is totally self contained. If I knew it would work without me having to purchase a second line on my existing Vonage account.

Battlestar Galactica Fan Videos

I stumbled across some fan made Battlestar Galactica videos on YouTube this morning.

And one cool one on Sci-Fi

Finally, on the Sci-Fi website Microsoft Proves they have a sense of humor with the ad for MS Visual Studio.
